Discuss: Best way to get to NYC with a bike  

There are many ways to get to NYC with a bicycle. The easiest way depends largely on where you are coming from, so please include your starting point in your answer.

I took the bolt bus from DC to NYC for the first time; i left on a Fri AM and had no problem getting my bike under the bus -- without even having to remove my front wheel! Couldn't have been easier; highly recommended.
