Discuss: I have already passed most of this
along but to recap

I think we need to attract riders who are not environmentalists. Two of my most conservative friends were my most generous donors (both bikers). I'd like to see the ClimateRide send them thank you notes and specifically invite them to participate next year. I can't see either of them camping but I didn't think they would even donate, so, what do I know? One of them asked me last week whether I would do it again. Of course, I said yes, and asked whether they'd do it with me. The lobby effort was not as well organized as I would have liked (this is my thing). No one in my group got the lobby package. I couldn't find the Focus folks at the luggage pick-up. I contacted Focus after the lobby call to complete my action items but I didn't receive a return call. I called again and was directed to another Focus person who took several days to get back to me and then wasn't the right person. Time was a ticking. There should be more information on the lobbying before hand and there should be a clear path for follow-up, who do we contact to bring closure. I found the ClimateRide website a bit clumsy and I had several perspective donors tell me that they couldn't get the donation piece of the site to work. Food was really good except at the Mennonite Camp. Soggy pasta just doesn't cut it. I was looking forward to the corn fritters and other classic Lancaster County foods that I had at Amish/Mennonite church suppers when my family visited that area when I was a child.
