100-250: Grow it some, but it could still feel intimate

#1
With a concerted effort to maintain and create a community feel, Climate Ride could still feel intimate up to about 250 riders.

Having 422 people roll into the Capitol would make an impression.

100: Keep it small and intimate, like in 2009

Some of you said that getting to know people was one of the best parts of Climate Ride. If the ride got bigger, would that feeling dimish? Is that a smaller priority than amassing huge support?

Less is more?

#6
I saw people at the end who I had never seen on the ride! I wanted to meet people, network, learn from them, but there were too many and not organized in a way that was conducive to meeting. Maybe we gather in smaller groups (by pace after the first day) and support each other throughout the ride. Or more time in the evenings dedicated to "roundtable" discussions or "open space" gatherings when we can work on/learn about climate issues in a smaller setting.
